Omapere to Whitianga (coromandel)
11 maart 2019 - Whitianga, Nieuw-Zeeland
I think there's a whole week to write.
On our way to the next stop, we visit a hot-spring nest to Ngawha.
Very relaxt, hot and good for body and mind.
In Omapere we stayht in a lovely country-side accomodation, with a realy nice host Jan.
We made a walk through the dunes, have a swim and catcht our first rain, after visiting the ancient museum (very impressive)...
On our way to Pahi-peninsula, we made a stop at Waipua-forest to visit the bighest Kauri-tree.
In Pahi, we have a stop for two nights.
Have some BBQ and visit the Kauri-museum, very impressive how they work to get the gum (very expensive material).
We had some problems to change our car, but now we have a red Toyota Camry (a real limousine).
On our way to bring the old car back, we visit Matakana brick to have a little wine-tasting and walk.
After the car-change we head on to the Coromandel-peninsula (realy fantastic).
Our first stop was in Tairua, after a 1,5 hour drive and a stop in Paunua we finely found our night-stop.
An expensive, but worthfull villa to rest.
The next day we visit hot-water beach, Hahei-beach and cathedrale-cove.
Now our stop for two nights is Whitianga to relax, organize our route further South.
Lekker genieten !! 👌🏼☀️😎
